I must confess to a little obsession with animal print. What better to bring out the animal racing instinct than a pair of leopard print compression socks?
These socks won't be ignored.
Sunshine-filled days!
Sporting my new, favorite, long-sleeve running top here- purchased for $8.96! And if you can figure out where I got a deal at that price point, don't worry. Your secret is safe with me ;)
New shoes!
Altra's Lone Peak 1.5 are my current trail faves. Fully cushioned, flexible, great traction.
Zero drop takes a little getting used to if you have never worn it before, but these awesome trail shoes are designed to promote healthier running with a stable, cushioned (but not wedge-like) platform, a roomy toe-box for maximum toe-spread and natural push-off. (They do make some great road shoes as well!)
#RethinkRunning
How restricted is your foot for push-off in a tapered and upturned toebox found in most running shoes?
What happens to your foot muscles when they are held in an unnatural position, day in and day out?
Why do doctors recommend children wear natural, foot-shaped shoes? Shouldn't adults wear them too?
Learn more about Altra here.
Honeystingers!
Specifically in Dark Chocolate Cherry Mocha Protein Bars
I could live off of these.
Sadly I do not run nearly enough to eat as many as I would like. Very chocolatey, slight hint of coffee, a tiny bit of cherries here and there. Black Forest yumminess for your run.
Giveaway x2 :)
Be sure to enter my Crazy Compression contest!
Two lucky winners will get to choose a pair of compression socks or sleeves from crazycompression.com
Maybe animal print is not your thing, but there are a bunch of really sharp styles besides the ones I have on above! Crazy Compression will even make custom order designs. (You might have to order 15,297 pairs though! I forgot to ask.)

DeleteA lil birdie told me to keep a sharp eye out for a fresh post. lol
ReplyDeleteColorful and positive post for a Thursday to ring-in the weekend.
AWESOME socks!!!!!!!!! Especially being over the calf. You asked some great questions of your readers. I cannot begin to answer any of them. I think that my running shoes have moved away to a rehab clinic for being abandoned for so long. lol
Have a great day.
I'm thinking you need to get a black and pink floral pair. :)
DeleteNot much longer to wait, C. !
hahaha!! That would be a sight to see.
DeleteI can see why darkness holds no fear :) Love the top for less than $10!
ReplyDeleteKkkkkk. Yeah. I create my own force-field of neon..
DeleteIf you need one, just let me know. It might fit a bit girly, and shipping will probably triple the price, but I'm game! ;D
One of the best things about marathon training is being able to eat more Honey Stinger stuff! Love the compression! I think I'd go for the pink diamond sleeves.
ReplyDeleteNice choice!
DeleteI like your thinking.. so maybe I can just train for a 100 miler and then earn 4 x the honeystingers? Good to hear from you, Marcia!
Very stylish Keep running you inspire me

DeleteI've always wanted to try compression socks... The fun colors will tip me over the edge and force me to try them! :)
ReplyDeleteI have been using calf compression sleeves, wonderful help if you suffer from shin splints. Also after a harder training, I have used to wear them on over night for recovering. I really can recommend to try!
ReplyDeleteWhich socks/sleeves I then would like to have next. Some sparkly colourful of course - Pink Diamonds by Crazycompression looks like my pair ;)
I like so many of the patterns. The curvy and flower power are really fun! I've been wanting to try compression socks for awhile. I have lots of shin problems.
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but if I had to pick just one, I'd pick the Black OTC Future Dots. So cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, those are more fun than a frog in a glass of milk!! I am not normally an animal-print gal, but I am crazy about the black leopard print (and they would complete my outfit for my next rock-themed half marathon).
ReplyDeleteThat's a funny saying! I have never seen a frog in a glass of milk, but my kids would try something like that. Good luck!
DeleteI need those leopard print compression socks! Love them!

ReplyDeleteThose are rather hypnotic! I like the black sleeve groovy.
ReplyDeleteSurely if I keep entering giveaways for compression socks, I'll eventually get some, right? I l like the "pink OTC smoke."
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you love the Lone Peaks. I've had my eye on the black/mint pair for a while, but I'm waiting until I can actually trail run, since this winter is so crazy here! Now I'm even more excited to try them.
ReplyDeleteLove the leopard socks!
Keep your eyes open! I hear Altra is working on a winter Gortex trail shoe.
Deletewhy hellllooooo purple leopard.
ReplyDeleteBlack OTC Flowers
ReplyDeleteNot sure if commenting enters me for the contest ... if so, as tempting as it is, you can take me out of the running and let another luck reader win the leopard print thingies. I've tried Stinger products during a race, but they're a little too sweet for me. But I think they taste great and will use them from time to time after a workout.
ReplyDeleteSigning you up for pink and black flowers!
DeleteThe bars are a bit sweet, but I like sweet. Unfortunately I eat them for snacks and then have to ration them for training.
I like Pink Mid Calf Future Dots best, but there are some other great ones too.
ReplyDeleteOh my there are so many to choose from! I love the pink leopard and the hearts!
ReplyDeleteohh i love the black OTC diamond!
ReplyDeleteThese socks are too cute! Hard to pick a favorite, but I think I would go with one of the pink designs. Been in a pink state of mind lately! :)
ReplyDeleteThose socks are crazy! Glad to see you're running on trails more! =)
ReplyDeleteSo sad to see you not wearing Brooks, but very glad you found something you love. I tried those honey stingers once, and I couldn't get past this weird metallic taste it left in my mouth. Those socks? Yeah, those are ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteThe purple animal print are so cute!!

ReplyDeleteCute! I would definitely choose the pink mid calf with circles to match my little green running shoes! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous socks but I really love the look of those shoes! I just don't need new trail shoes at the moment but WOW! Love them. Where you run always looks gorgeous and it looks like it's going well as well (judging by your happy face?) so keep it up!
ReplyDeleteI love the animal print..those are great! I really might have to try Altra's. One of my biggest issues with shoes is often the toe box.
