After two unscheduled rest days, I thought I might feel great for running today, but it was not so.
This was one of the most sluggish feeling runs I have had in quite a while- maybe since I ran with mastitis (before I knew that's what it was) early on in my Eugene training. Twelve and a half miles in 1:52:32 - not my usual training pace as of late. Disappointing, however, I feel better knowing that I still did run today.
I think I am fighting something. All three of the boys are sick, so it adds up. I'm not really one for resting up when I am sick. But, I will try to stay positive and count this as a cutback week. One week of little running might actually be good for me.
Sounds like you need a little rest. Oh, and you ran with mastitis? You *are* BA! Hope you are back to your running high-schoolers into the ground self soon.
ReplyDeleteA 9 minute average is nothing to sneeze at. It does sound like R&R might be needed. I am jumping in here without knowing all the details-- but rest never hurts.
